Ascent Trip ReportAll stats for the hike, including the segment over the east peak, can be found in this TR.
Parked on Byron Rd. and did an out and back to the east and west peaks via the Brook and Tumbledown Ridge Trails. The Brook Trail started out easy, then got progressively steeper, following and crossing a brook at times. Near Tumbledown Pond, there were some scrambles, but the sight of the pond was well worth the effort.
From the pond, I took the Tumbledown Ridge Trail to the east and west peaks, which both had unique views of Tumbledown Pond and the surrounding area. Spent a while on the west peak, then headed back the way I came.
