Ascent Trip Report

the access road is in great condition, there were a few short patches of ice. you will need clearance to get over numerous erosion protection berms, but 4x4 isn't necessary. there is a turn-around with parking space for a few vehicles at the saddle between baker point and baker peak.

a good trail goes up and down on the north side of the ridge. (i added this trail to openstreetmap.)

the lookout has seen better days, but the stairs seem to have been painted recently, and there was access to the deck. views were great.

from the lookout it seemed the western contour was higher than the point with the benchmark. the western bump appears to have been flattened, perhaps as a helipad. it's easy to visit both contenders.

there is a register near the benchmark.
