Ascent Trip ReportJust outside the Ikego Hills Naval Base Camp Ground Boundary, which is identified by beat up fences and walls with the occasional sign to keep out.
Location has picnic tables, benches, a geological survey marker, and nice views
Took a break from the Chief Season Final night to explore a trail that started right at out Camp Site. It was badly overgrown but eventually opened up on the ridge line, fizzling out in various directions. Eventually it took me outside the Ikego Hills Naval Base Camp Ground Boundary, which is identified by beat up fences and walls with the occasional sign to keep out. I located the maintained Japanese Park trail system and followed it to point 149 (meters). The Location had picnic tables, benches, a geological survey marker, and nice views. On the descent I located the intended internal trail system which was unmaintained and took me to a Camp site just down from ours.
