Ascent Trip ReportWe followed the blue-blazed trail mentioned in Ryan Aschbrenner's trip report from 2013. We couldn't find the forest road he mentioned, so we drove in on Woodchoppers Rd and found the blue trail crossing there. We then proceeded North as he described. The round trip hike seemed longer than 3 miles. There are many branch points and side trails, as well as twists and turns on the blue blazed trail but with care it does lead to the high point. The woods were beautiful and open, it was a nice hike. We slipped and fell a couple of times as the trail is faint and covered with deep layers of slippery dead leaves and uneven rocks underneath.
