Ascent Trip ReportDriving Directions:
Drive US 95 south from Quartzsite, AZ, about 19 miles. Turn left (east) onto the Palm Canyon Road. At about 3 miles this road enters the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge. Near here turn left onto the more primitive Kofa Queen Road. Follow this road and in about 5 miles the road reaches the base of the mountains and the mouth of Kofa Queen Canyon. The road deteriorates as it enters Kofa Queen Canyon and I recommend a high-clearance 4WD vehicle. The trailhead starts at the mouth of Ten Ewe Canyon on your right. There is ample off-road parking at the trailhead. There are many dispersed campsites along the Kofa Queen Road.
