Ascent Trip Report

Crowed hike but a very nice local hike. Quick and gratifying. Great views of the ocean, cities and nearby peaks. You can take the many lower class 1 trails or there is one route that drops down into a ravine then climbs as a class 1+ to class 2 scree type straight up. This steeper route is most popular as it under a 3 mile RT to the summit. But for those that do not like steep slippery terrain can meander up with a 4 mile RT excursion as well.
