Decided to try a route up Sentenac Canyon before turning up a series of drainages. The route had a endless series of polished dryfalls to scramble up. (But it's not a car-sized-boulder-pile hike like on some of the other peaks in Anza.) In a couple cases the dryfalls were long and shallow leaving just a polished incline to walk up. In a handful of cases, we opted to go around a dryfall, but had little difficulty finding a way in and out of the drainages. We made our way up a ridge to a saddle before grabbing the peak. We also saw an owl!
We opted to take a different ridge on the way down via a known route. There were many footprints on the ridges and washes on our way back, and even the beginning of a trail forming.
