Ascent Trip ReportWe intended to do Balsam and Eagle but got a really late start so we only did Eagle. The stream crossings on this trail are always interesting. There is a short section of unmarked trail to get to the summit that we almost missed. On the way down it got dark and there were two dogs on the other side of the creek barking and growling. It was a little unnerving being in the dark know there was only shallow water between us and the dogs and only being able to see their glowing eyes. Glad they seemed to be afraid of the water. Eventually, they gave up and left us alone. |
