Ascent Trip Report

50's at the base and cloudy. Ascent up White Dot was interesting, I didn't think there would be as much scrambling as there was. No complaints but some of the younger boy scouts were a little concerned at first until these much younger kids blew by them on the scrambles. As we got closer to the peak, we realized that there was a temperature inversion and it was still 50 which made the going a little easier above tree line, but we were in the clouds and it was damp and slippery on the rocks. Wind was whipping at the peak and we stayed up long enough to find one of the buttons and take a quick shot, then descended as quickly as we could below tree level. Descended down White cross trail which was very wet, but not as much scrambling down the rocks as it would have been going back down White Dot.
