Ascent Trip ReportAfter two unsuccessful attempts over University Pass due to excessive snow and ice, I took the North Ridge up past Bench Lake. It was a slow, long haul up but spectacular. The gpx file I brought with me took a route further south and it was still full of snow at this time of year, so I found I different route up to the ridge. It turned out great considering I tend to be very cautious when it comes to any sort of dangerous exposure. On the way up I ran into another climber and we followed each other the rest of the way. We took the East Slope on the way down to make it a loop. After finding the right chute, it was a fun slide down the sand. Going up the East Slope would be rough but going down was quick.
