Ascent Trip Report

The signs on Post Creek Road immediately east of the high point are now just empty wood boards with no lettering, so there is nothing to indicate any private land. We parked on the side of the road and my Mom waited in the car while I did the very short hike, uphill through open forest, to the HP area. A large tree is at the highest ground, surrounded by a large grassy area, firewood piles, a hunting blind/treehouse structure, a RV parked a ways to the north, and other outdoor camp type stuff. No one was there on this nice fall weekday. The large tree had a ladder up to a little platform. It seems that this land is still sometimes used as a youth camp of some sort, maybe on weekends or during the summer.
