Ascent Trip Report

Rode the motorcycles in from Moab, over Geyser Pass, taking 0129 a little less than a mile until the road takes a hard turn to the east. As this point (around 10,440) we ditched the motorcycles and began hiking SW to where the scree field cuts to the north west from Mount Mellenthin. From here is is a straight forward scree walk on mostly stable talus. It got a little more exciting when a decent snow storm came in from the SE, limiting visibility and making the scree 100% more difficult to walk on. From here my hiking partner (Garrett Lyons) and I parted ways, as I was going to continue on to my main objective (Mt. Peale).
