Ascent Trip Report

Drove up Black Mountain Road from Highway 243 to Boulder Basin Campground and parked in the campground. The road is not recommended for a 2WD passenger sedan.

Walked up access road and took tour of tower from volunteer firewatcher at lookout. Also became a member of the Ancient and Honorable Order of Squirrels as a result of visiting the lookout.

Returned to truck along same route.
