Ascent Trip Report

Deb and I tripped out to Kauai to hike the landscape. We stayed in Kapaa and our first trail was to Nounou Mountain (Sleeping Giant) This is a 4 mile out and back with about 1000' in elevation gain. A great warm up hike for us, an easy, steady grade up to the summit. Views are all around, the summit has a narrow ridge that you traverse from the Giants head to the Giants chin. Pretty cool looking down the cliff on the east side of the chin! Loved it, obviously the weather was hot as Kauai weather seems to always be hot.
