Ascent Trip Report

After completing Blue Lake Southwest and Brown Mountain, camped at Minam Lake after running out of time Saturday making the traverse across from Brown Mountain. Bear wondered into camp at 2am and had a sniff around, but didn't muss up the camp site. Packed up camp and left Minam Lake around 7am. Hiked down the Lostine River and followed a stream up into the east facing basin below Glacier Mountain. Climbed up to a tarn on the NE ridge of the mountain and found a route up through the cliffs to the summit above. Little bit of a narrow rock spine to climb along the upper mountain. Incredible water features on this mountain, tarns and little streams everywhere. Descended off the northeast slopes of the mountain. Lush meadows, gorgeous area. One of the most scenic mountains I have climbed in Oregon.
