Ascent Trip Report

We drove in my stock Jeep Rubicon no problem up to top of Jeep trail and parked at about 12800. A few sections of fun Class 2+ with some limited exposure. Barry bagged Conundrum after Castle. There was a short 50-foot stretch of low-angle snow to cross shortly above high Jeep parking area, nobody needed ice ax or crampons for that. The scrambling on the upper part of the ridge, and parking Jeep at 12800, boosts the fun factor. But I am glad there are also other peaks for which you have to hike mondo miles from low elevation trailheads to bag.
