Ascent Trip Report

Turned off US-380 onto the marked "Capitan Gap Road" which eventually becomes FR-56. Simply stay on FR-56 until it ends at a communications site. The marked trailhead is by the site. The trail is mostly obvious although overgrown. Some cairns also mark the route. The turnoff to the HP is not signed although there is a cairn. Summit log present.

Road condition. The road is mostly rough and rocky with a high clearance vehicle being a necessity. 4WD recommended. I made it to the site and back without having to engage 4 wheels.
