Ascent Trip Report

Successful ascent up the Ellingwood Arete via direct start. Two parties in front of us knocking tons of rock down route. Very scary almost bailed but rockfall improved once out of direct start. Lots of soloing easy 5th class up featured conglomerate rock. Route finding on 4th and 5th class ledges tricky. Only 2 or 3 good climbing pitches. A little underwhelmed for a 50 classic. Still fun day out.
