Ascent Trip Report

We dropped Hannah at the saddle trail between Brown Peak and Huron Peak. We climbed down to the saddle and then saw the class 3/4 headwall. The use trail goes below it and allows for a work around point 13,518. We saw some good stable class 3 rock and elected to scramble up it instead of going around. Once we got up the class 3 we chose not to summit this subpeak so we went around and contoured the slope to the next saddle. All of this contouring is class 2 talus but not too steep and very stable.
Up on the ridge the ridge becomes a bit of a sawtooth and has section that is somewhat exposed and fun. The final approach to the peak has some grass and easy class 2. This little peak had a sign in canister but it was broken.

The route from here over to Middle Mountain is easy and we could finally see the 4 wheel drive road back down to our car. This would have been a fun circle back but we had our partner back at the saddle so we hiked back the same way we came on this extra credit summit and picked up Hannah and went back the standard route to our car.
