Ascent Trip Report

Up with plans to stay on the peak to wait for the eclipse. Instead down to the shoulder to join the larger tent city near the junction. Climbed it again by the early morning light to watch the sunrise. Hey, the day was all about the sun, might as well start it right.

Oh, and the eclipse was crazy good to watch from there. Smoke threatened right at the last minute, but left us alone. It looked like the west was being eaten by the Nothing as the shadow came. The way it all sparkled as the light came back was absolutely beautiful. Would recommend it, except the chance to do that again probably won't be coming around very soon.
