Ascent Trip ReportThis particular state park is broken up into a half dozen pieces along the South Yuba River. It took much analyzing to determine where the HP is located. The park map and DeLorme have a U-shaped piece of property off of Missouri Bar Rd, which is off of Highway 20, eight miles east of Nevada City. We parked just prior to a private drive, or it seemed to be private. There is a gate (signed) to the east. Your choice here on how far you go. The road behind the gate follows the map. When the road turns to the north, you need to start going down and to the east. The HP is at the southwest corner of the land. It is rugged terrain and we walked all around using two different GPS devices. There is a log bridge over a dried creek which is near the HP. The track shows all our movement to the best of a GPS's ability. I had tried to secure this HP three years earlier, but ran out of time.
