Ascent Trip ReportHiked up Roundtop Mountain with Dan and Sammy. We started at the parking area at the end of Gillespie Road; the road was just as described in the book -- rough and slow going for Blue Subie.
This hike was 100% bushwhack. We did find an old road to walk on for a while that wasn't on any of our maps - it was nice not to be whacked for a bit. Nice hike. No views from the summit, though we found a small pile of rocks (not formed into a cairn) at what we thought to be the highest point. Never saw anyone else at the parking area or on the mountain. |
