This is an absolutely beautiful, ridgetop, out and back hike with high Sierra panorama's all around. The heavy winter snows have been slow to melt out so spring wildflowers were abundant. I encountered a mix of users that included PCT thru hikers heading North, trail runners carrying only their water, and a few day hikers. As with many of the trails around Lake Tahoe, this one is best done on weekdays, if that's an option for you.
Both Anderson Peak and Tinker Knob are in need of new register notebooks and pencils, if you're headed
up that way.
