Ascent of Arbury Hill in 1997

| Elevation:||738 ft / 224 m|
Ascent Trip ReportThe highest point in Northamptonshire. Asked the local farmer at Staverton Lodge for permission to walk up, which he denied giving some feeble excuse. Not wanting to make a scene I retreated and approached on the public bridleway from the east and made the short detour north to the summit and then returned the same way. A large flattish top with a motocross course on it (the site of an old hill-fort) with no-one around and pleasant enough rolling rural views. I ‘left no trace’, unlike the bikers.
