Ascent Trip ReportWe hiked to Grinnell Glacier to see how much is left compared to the description and photos from the past. They don't expect it to last until 2030. Really pretty hike. There was a ram with a full circle of horns on the ridge we crossed to go down to Upper Grinnell Lake, munching on some plants and posing for pictures. Some people were jumping into the lake which had the "glacial" appearance (blue-green) and icebergs floating in it. Every one of them got out about as fast as they got in. We watched one guy climb a chute up toward the Garden Wall and then ski down, then saw him later on the trail. It was a really pleasant lunch stop. Saw a moose with a full rack on our way down. Might have seen a grizzly but we headed down the trail quickly so as not to have our exit cut off.
