Ascent Trip Report

Parked at the intersection of Harrisburg Rd and Leon Ln. Following Ben Lostracco's TR, I then took the fork left before the last house on Leon Ln onto the 4WD road, then took the right fork at the first major intersection, then went east of the swampy area. *Important to note: since the last time someone logged a TR on here it seems like someone has built a campsite near the trail a bit past the swamp, with a trail marked with pink survey tape and Bud Light cans going down toward another swampy area. This is not the trail you want! Pink survey tape flags and beer cans are very frequently spaced along this trail so if you're on the wrong one you'll know it. After backtracking out of what I'll call the Bud Light trail, took the correct trail as far as it goes, dead-ending at a bunch of red blazes and posted signs. Followed these blazes/signs westward to a mostly dry creekbed near the height of land along the property line, then followed the creekbed most of the way to the summit. Off the property line there is a random shed in the middle of the woods.. no idea what it's doing there or how it even came to be there. No views from summit. Property line can be a bit tricky to follow in places so if was gonna do this again I'd make sure I had a GPS and/or map and compass with me for some extra peace of mind. Beautiful forest in this area, not surprising given its remoteness.
