Ascent Trip ReportLimestone Canyon Preserve is part of OC Parks and Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks. Closed to public except for scheduled docent led hikes. But 1 day every couple months they have Wilderness Access Day where you can hike on your own. Register online to sign up. There were park rangers in vehicles and on bikes along with lots of volunteers patrolling, as well as the other 499 users. This made it difficult to safely reach the summits, which required bushwacking the tall picky grass. There are many trails available to make a longer hike, I went for a shorter loop because of the hot temps.
