Ascent Trip Report

I found a little parking turn out at Becket Street next to a tiny city park called McNary City Park and wow, it did not have signs saying it was only for local residents. I parked and hiked down as far as I could go to make this an ascent worthy of counting. I followed Kerr Parkway to Walking Woods Drive where there is a VERY steep hill. I followed this steep hill past nice homes but a non gated neighborhood (how nice) and took a right in front of the Kerr Natural area until the topo bottomed out at around elevation 520 then hiked all the way back to my car and then kept going up.

I headed west on Becket Street until I found the Nansen Summit drive that takes you up to a loop drive then you find a very steep bike trail to the public park as noted in previous reports. I headed down the back side and found a nifty hiking trail that is very steep on the East by SE side of the park that takes you down to Garibaldi Street. My car was waiting close by at McNary Park. Decent views once again.
