Ascent Trip Report

Parked below the Kite Lake Parking since spaces were full. I had woke up at 4:30 AM and left hotel a 4:50 and arrived at the trailhead paid my $3 parking fee (self pay box) and found parking at elevation 11,880 down below the parking area. I used the Mount Democrat Trail from Kite Lake up to the saddle then turned NE along the Mount Lincoln West Trail and topped out on Cameron which acts like a false peak to Lincoln. I summited in 1 hour and 20 minutes; I summited Lincoln in 1 hour and 45 minutes; then Bross somewhere around 2 hour and 15 minutes; headed back up and over Cameron again to avoid the feldspar quick sand that was complained about by those that came up the Mount Bross Trail. Thus, adding to the days mileage and vertical gain.

Second phase of this segment was to go grab the county HP Lincoln.
