Ascent Trip Reportthe road is in pretty good shape, although quite bumpy. i think most vehicles could make it. i was amused by the signs saying "narrow and steep road": it's not narrow or steep in comparison to many mountain roads, there's generally room to pass (or to let the many ATVs pass you). i parked where i did because i wanted some exercise, and hiked up the road.
the summit register is new, placed just this year. i found reference marks 5 and 6... i've never seen that many reference marks before. i didn't find the benchmark itself.
after visiting the summit i wandered off to the other (obviously lower) bumps along the ridge. in the 11200' bump north of the summit i discovered a mailbox. i assumed it was a geocache, but it turned out to be another register, or more of a journal, and seemed to be placed / visited by a few families. entries dating back to 2015 in this one.
i wandered back cross-country following various use trails (animal, human or ATV, not sure).
