Ascent Trip ReportThe road is surprisingly good (passenger cars can make it) when dry, but watch out when wet- parts of the road turn to butter- even with 4WD, I was sliding and a bit worried. There are plenty of places off the road for camping.
It's worth noting that the trailhead parking was the most limited I've seen at any Colorado 14er- basically just the shoulder of the road- enough for maybe 5 vehicles.
The trail was in pretty good shape except for one spot near the creek (maybe around 11,450') where it was hard to follow, but as long as one keeps heading upstream and stays on the north side of the creek, one should find it again.
