Ascent Trip ReportDrove Oregon state highway 126 east from Interstate 5 at exit 195 east Springfield OR drove approx 74 miles to State highway22 exit north towards Salem from there it's 8 miles north to Straight Cr (road 11) on left (west) another 9 miles 5 on the corridor 4 on road 1168 will bring you to trailhead
A nice semi forested mostly open scree/cliff side trail with great views of the cascade crest if you go in late June through mid July you'll be treated to a riot of wildflowers The best views are at summit were a front row seat to Mt Jefferson awaits and views north to Mt Hood and Adams come into view |
