Ascent Trip ReportHaving "hiked" up Multnomah Falls the previous day, we were looking for another hike in the same area, but one that put us on top of a peak or ridge. Like Icicle Ridge in Leavenworth, WA, this was a part of our honeymoon roadtrip. Having seen the day before what this road gets like and how quickly all the parking spaces fill up during the summer, we got to the parking area early and began our hike. The trail was well-worn and wide, almost resembling a jeep road at parts, which was helpful with the amount of people on the trail. The view from the summit was great, looking down along the Columbia River and at some nice peaks across the water in Washington. With breaks on the way up and at the top, the entire hike took us right around 3 hours. |
