Ascent of Ira Mountain on 2017-07-08
|Date:||Saturday, July 8, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||1929 ft / 587 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI drove into the Ira Mountain Overlook. Both Quill Hill and Ira Mountain are owned by the same guy. He charges $10 to ascend each peak. Just beware that Quill Hill does allow you to go all the way to the summit. Ira Mountain takes you to an overlook. I parked at the overlook and waited for a break in the rain. I then bushwhacked my way up through a series of forest then open then forest, etc. I made it to the main gravel road entitled the Ira Mountain Road (It has a gate near the bottom). I made the summit albeit soaking wet.
