Ascent Trip ReportAscent 2 of 2
From summit of Scafell Pike walk SW to the col. The rock on scafell side appeared damp. We descended SW to Foxes Tarn Gully. The lower section of gully had seemed treacherous with lots of water. We found our own route on the bank on the LHS of the gully until half way up the gully. We rejoined the gully the rest of the way to Foxes Tarn. The tarn was quite small considering the amount of water coming the down the gully. We followed the rough paths to the summit. No trig point.
Rough path descent over loose rock. Lost path when we reached marshy section with numerous small streams. Found path in the bracken. Phone battery died during final descent so gap in GPS trail until car park when I charged it in the car.
