Ascent Trip Report

A small but nice state park with a $4 fee for Maine residence. Not sure what for out of state as they gave me credit for paying taxes on a summer home in Maine and allowed me the $4 fee. Parked at the parking lot main area where there is a short and sweet direct hike to the summit about half mile round trip. A nice slab with some views at the top. On the back side of the slab is some nice igneous material with great foot holds and smear holds that you can play on but it is a very small area. Hiked down and found a class 2+/3 way back up for fun to try out my new boots. They are comfortable but disappointing on smears. You have to stay with Viberam soles!
