Ascent Trip Report

Getting back onto the Ponderosa Trail, I easily found the trail up The Brother. Unfortunately, so did about 30 other hikers and although the views on the feature are excellent, the solitude is poor. You can get to the top without any scrambling what so ever so it gets a lot of traffic. I found a 2+ way up to make it slightly more interesting and it was certainly the most interesting hike and view of the day for me at this point, but I had yet to do the sisters and....after them, this summit loses some luster. Over by the edge of a cliff I saw a young man (I would guess around 20) playing on the edge practicing his footing. clearing itching to climb rock. I took a photo of him on the edge to send home and thought little about it after that until I ran into him again on the next peak.
