Ascent Trip ReportDrove to the junction with the bermed water-barred spur that rises to the initially gentle NW ridge. Then up the ridge through a few steepish spots of basalt rocks under open trees and snags. Picked up a tread 2/3 of the way up that traversed east to some lower nice basalt view outcrops and then on up. A good tread runs the length of the summit area against the north face for great views. Hit all the high points I could find until I was heading SE toward Eburg and had great views of Table Mountain to the east. Recommend pants through the regenerating brush post the 2012 Taylor Bridge Fire. Watch for stump holes beneath the brush.
