Ascent Trip Report

After tagging the long drive of Tobin earlier in the day we wanted to get another before some bad weather moved in and we resigned ourselves to hotsprings and packrafting in the Owyhee. WE started from shortly after the saddle as deep snow drifts started here. I was amazed how lush it was here compared to Tobin that we had just been on. Deep 10 ft drifts still lingered. Then it began to dump snow. I happily carried on, but it was dropping at nearly an 2 inches an hour as I would discover when I eventually made it back to the car. It made the final scramble seem a bit more spicy in a blizzard! Didnt get the views, but I sure had an experience. Spent the next day escaping the rain at the wonderfull Whitehorse Hot Springs before continuing to Three Forks and packrafting/canyoneering all 3 branches.
