Ascent Trip ReportClimbed this 3rd highest peak in England while vacationing in the Lake District, up Striding Edge and down Swirrel Edge. Photos available in Google images show fun ridges. We were in a dense cloud and heavy mist and cold wind while (whilst?) on the ridges. It was fun but we missed the view and couldn't see more than 20 feet most of the time. Not much sense of exposure when you can't see very far. It was wetter and more slippery on our descent. Started at Glenridding and did a figure-8 route, which seems to be standard. Nice way to do it to vary the view--we had good visibility when below the cloud. Met some Brits, Ben and Ian, and had fun talking to them along the way.
