Ascent Trip ReportWhile fresh I thought I would post as not many descriptions from the Kosovo side. A delightful climb starting at Arxhena hotel ski lodge (30 euro a night). Trail right at door step. The hotel had a hikers map for free and the paths are fairly well way marked in red and white. I took the route up to the ski restaurant (only open in winter) and onto the lakes. Way finding can get a bit tricky but on the broad grass plain keep left after last way mark until you tip over the rise and start down steep ascent to lakes. Pick up the way marks again then. Watch out for sheep dogs. Then cross the lakes and up the grass steep slope to the summit. Beautiful walk with wild flowers and some water points. There is an alternative route but didn't do it so someone might like to do it and post. Blessings. Hope this helps. |
