Ascent of Dobbs Peak on 2017-06-17
|Date:||Saturday, June 17, 2017|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||10459 ft / 3187 m|
Ascent Trip ReportWith Brian Richardson, up the west Dobbs ridge from Vivian Creek camp. Big heat wave and the altitude got to us at Dobbs, so we decided to go down cross country from Little Dobbs to the Vivian Creek trail at High Creek camp (steep and very loose ridge) instead of attempting Jepson and San G as well. 4h to Dobbs, an hour including lunch at the Dobbs-Little Dobbs ridge, 3.5 hours down. Bee hive on ascent, thankfully Brian got away safely.
