Day 2: broke camp at Beck Meadow, and took PCT South to saddle/trail intersection (Trail sign was unreadable due to fire/weather damage). Dropped packs and followed trail towards Dutch John Flat/Haiwee Pass and at meadow X-Country to peak. Signed the Peak register and enjoyed the views including a magnificent view of Olancha Peak to the North. Peakbagger puts the actual peak as the summit block to the east, but we found the Peak register on the one to the West. Though more direct, our route up the ridge involved a fair amount of rock scrambling and fighting through brush, the route down was better at avoiding those hindrances.
The GPS Track attached does not return completely to the trailhead because the battery was exhausted, but we returned about 4pm in time to get sandwiches and beer at Grumpy's in Kennedy Meadows.
