Ascent Trip ReportStarted from Gold Camp parking up North Cheyenne canyon and took the Seven Bridges Trail...ran off the map, and then just kept going. Was able to pull up info connecting trail 720 to my position from my phone and kept going to the brutal east sandy side of the mountain and just suffered my negative-calorie self up one awful sliding step at a time. Eventually I made it up and enjoyed the absolutely magnificent views of the Cameron - Tenney group and had the most fun descent ever, allowing the mountain to fully live up to its name. Exhausted on the way back, I happily drank the offering of the beautiful cascading stream all the way down the canyon. |
