Ascent Trip Report

I have done this hike (or variants of it) hundreds of times over the past decade: it is my go-to cardio workout. I usually do the hike 2-3 times per week because it is convenient to our home. Locals refer to the trail up the Centre Ridgelet as the "Butt Burner" trail and it is extremely popular, 7 days/week (maybe the Valley equivalent of Runyan Canyon).

Today's hike was with our Australian Shepherd named Boomer -- an excellent hiking companion. The hike began at 20:15 and was done mostly in the dark (night hikes are typical for work-days). There was a clear view of Santa Monica Bay from the summit.
