Ascent Trip ReportI probably took the worse road to drive up on. I approached from the northwest and the road got extremely sandy and steep toward the top, but my 1991 Ford Festiva made the entire climb even though there was a lot of tire spinning. The lookout tower that once stood here has long been removed, but the anchor footings were still visible. A communication tower has been built a short distance away. Both highpoint candidates can be easily reached with very little bushwhacking and they are only 261 feet apart. According to my GPS both the north and south highpoints recorded elevations of 1515 feet, so you probably should visit both sites. The southern candidate had the only view. It was to the southeast. The drive down was a lot easier on my car than the drive up!
