Ascent Trip ReportI made my approach to Dixon Hill from the east where I found an un-posted metal gate at 42.10839 N 85.03294 W. From here my GPS showed .44 air miles to the summit. I was able to follow an overgrown road for a few hundred feet before reaching to an old sand quarry where I had to climb a very steep 30-foot slope. Once on top of this grade the travel was more difficult with ATV trails, intermittent paths and moderate bushwhacking through some overgrown thorny areas, but I reached the summit after 16 minutes total travel time. The highest point was in the middle of the ATV trail, but the forest prevents any view. I made it back to my car in 13 minutes.
