Ascent of Indianhouse Mountain on 2016-07-02
|Date:||Saturday, July 2, 2016|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4300 ft / 1310 m|
Ascent Trip ReportUsed the southeast shoulder to get up to about 2,650' and then traversed across to a big rock chute. Scrambled up to nearly the top of the chute and then hooked right towards the summit. After the summit, we descended the west face with the intent of summiting South Suicide Peak next. However, the west face is more difficult than what maps and other reports make it out to be. If I were to do it again, I would bring gear to belay down some of the cliff bands.
