Ascent Trip ReportClimbed Upper Yosemite Falls Trail, then beyond to Yosemite Point, one of my favorite places on earth. Got a late start since we were camping at an RV park in Oakhurst and they were doing road construction on the 41 and we got stopped for almost a half hour. So, it was hotter than we would have liked. Went straight to Yosemite Point, then came back to the "Overlook" where there are rails along the rock near the top of Yosemite Falls. More mist and "rain" when descending than when ascending. At one point Peter poured a gallon ziplock bag of snowmelt water over my head to cool me off. There was still snow along the trail to Yosemite Point, but none below. The domes above that provide the runoff for Yosemite Falls were still covered. Such a beautiful place to go! Lots of "extra" waterfalls this May pouring into the Valley.
