Ascent Trip ReportThe road up to the Beverly Creek Trailhead had just opened, and Matthew and I decided to climb the south side route up Argonaut. The snow started basically at the trailhead, and we had easy going until the Ingals creek crossing. The water was at least waist deep and raging, but we luckily found a good log to cross at and set up camp on the other side Friday night. Saturday morning we climbed up the south side gully, which looked like it had just avalanched a day earlier. Snow went almost up to the ridge, but we roped up for a single class 4 move onto the ridge. We then simul-climbed the snow ridge to the summit, passing through a cool tunnel at the top.
